Travel System

To Aunt Pat....

I know you are wanting to buy the Travel system. I am going to place a picture of one here. It isn't brand new in the box but still looks very new without the new cost price. The stroller was only used once and the carseat for 4 months before the little girl outgrew it. If you are Ok with getting me one that is a little used but still lots of life left... (and I think it is perfect) then let me know and I will let you know how much she is asking for it.

Feb. 29th-'08 ~ Gluclose Testing

Please be in thought and in prayer has I will have to go in for my three hour gluclose test. I go in Friday morning at 8 AM.... what fun and can't eat anything after midnight on Thursday... don't they know there is a baby in here, and sometimes the baby wants to be feed at 2:30 AM.... OK it is probably more me that wants food than the baby- but no need to starve the mother too.

Baby bedding---

I absolutely love this set; and it comes with 10 pieces; WOW... can be found at http://www.cherubsbedding.com/

Baby Shower

I will have my first baby shower April 5th; I am so excited. It is wonderful to see all the people that are so excited for Brian and I. This shower is being thrown by his dad's side of the family and I have decided to invite his mother's side to this shower has well. We don't get to see them all very often and I think it will be nice to have everyone together. Brian will be there too and I want to see if I can borrow a video camera for the event. I think it will be nice to have something like this taped. This baby will be Brian's dads first grandbaby. After so many years to get to this place in our lives we can say that we are truly blessed of God.

99 Days to Go

Well, as of today we have 99 days to go till Abigail Chrystalynn is here... (that is if she is on time). I am doing pretty well even if I still have my bad days. I had someone today tell me that I don't really look pregnant. It is very possible in the outfit I was wearing; a pair of sweats because it was so cold out. I have a dentist appointment today at 11:00 ~so not looking forward to that at all. I also have two new kids that started Monday... (three total) so now I have 2 boys and 1 girl in my care and they all get along so well.

Abigail's Development

Our baby is now 1 ½ pounds, with a length of about 13 ½ inches. Her wrinkly skin is soon going to be a thing of the past, as she begins to accumulate fat deposits. Before you know it, she will be a plump newborn. If we were able to look inside, we would see that Abigail’s hair has formed in texture and color. She may or may not lose that hair after she is born. Some babies lose their hair and grow new hair, maybe even a different color.

The spine is strengthening this week, as the joints, ligaments, and rings form to protect the spinal cord from any injury. The blood vessels in the lungs develop, in preparation for breathing. Our baby’s eyes can open and close now, and they will react to light. Her mouth is developing in preparation for the sucking reflex, as well as for swallowing. Her nostrils are opening this week, and she may even be able to smell. She is already practicing walking, as her feet pedal up against my uterine wall. With all her twisting and turning, it’s amazing that the umbilical cord remains uncompromised. The umbilical cord is built to sustain life even through all the twists and turns of our baby, as its tough anti-knotting capabilities keep it well intact.
The appointment went well...
1). Iron levels lower... so the put me on prescription iron...
2). I have carpal tunnel syndrome... had to buy a wrist splint...
3). Abigail's heartbeat was 155
4). I gained 6 lbs... grrrrrrrr since Jan 8th... (he said they don't really consider this a gain yet... as I have another lb. to gain before I am at the weight I was when I went in on Sept. 20th) after that they will consider it weight gain.
5). March 4th is my next app. at 4 PM and then I will start going every 3 weeks...
