Dr.'s Visit

Well, we had another Dr.'s appointment today. Had some good news and some news that well Abigail is just going to have to make up her own mind and QUICK!!!!!! Mama is getting impatient for her arrival. OK for the good news: Since last week (Thursday) I lost two lbs. and my iron went from 9.0 ~ 9.8... I have also dilated to 1 cm..... yeah; my body is starting to go to work... Now could it just hurry a little. He guesses her to weigh between 8 and 8.6 lbs

Bad news or OK news..... I am not effaced yet, and will not be induced this week unless she decides to come on her own. I am/was so hoping for a baby by Friday. So every one send their prayers, thoughts and wishes my way. If she doesn't come by Tuesday, May 27th then I will be admitted that night and induced Wednesday, the 28th.

This would be kind of ironic, in a way, if she was born on the 28th.... Brian and I married on the 12th of April, Brian's mom's birthday... If Abigail is to be born by inducing on the 28th of May then that is Brian's dad's birthday. I hope he feels wonderful about ''maybe'' getting a granddaughter on his birthday. I am fine either way ~ born of her own accord this week or by induction next week. It certianly isn't my call ~ it is mother nature's call on when I go into labor.

I go back this Friday (May 23rd) for another NST if she hasn't made her arrival by then....an NST reading of the baby is good for 5 days; I didn't know that before today.

A Scare... but good news

Had a NST today due to a scare... she didn't move in 4 hours... Went to L&D was hooked up and after about 40 minutes and 8 oz. of sugary grape juice she started moving. I have had tightening for quite some time... but it has never shown up on the NST --- today it did. They were contractions or BH (Braxton Hicks). Ranging from 5 min. to 11 min. apart; that was pretty neat to see. Most I didn't feel... and considering I have a high level of tolerance for pain they were not surprised that I hadn't mentioned the tightening. They did say there was a lot of amniotic fluid ... b/c Abigail is positioned above my belly button other than her head... it is facing down toward the birth canal. She is a stubborn little thing.

Some not so great news

I got a call from my Dr. today informing to please come in before Noon so that they could get my appointment in. I go in since they were shutting the office down at Noon due to the fact that he received three non scheduled emergency c-sections... Poor guy. I was supposed to be admitted tonight to the hospital at 7 PM and induced tomorrow. However, after the cervical check at 11:30 Abigail is head down but still to high up to induce without causing complications to me. So Abigail will be kicking me for a little while longer... Please come baby girl.... I do have another Appointment at 10 AM on Monday if she doesn't show her face by then. It is a day by day thing now... does anyone know of anygood ways to get Abigail to drop... LOL

Well, this is my last belly pic prior to delivery unless I can get some glam shots... would love to have some... we shall see.

I had another appointment today... Another NST ~Abigail looks/is acting great... She needs to still move in the head down position she is a little to far to the left (her head anyway). I gained .25 lbs since Tues.... the Dr. said if my blood pressure was out of whack then he would state in my chart preeclampsia since I have all the other signs of it other than the bad blood pressure. I go back next Thursday at 4 PM for my last appointment with him for six weeks and then on to the hospital at 7 PM after I have a good supper. LOL

Today's Visit

Okay... well there is more news!!!

My iron is off the charts again... Way too low 8.0 so I left the Dr.'s office to go get another prescription of iron and came back so that they could give me my fourth iron shot this pregnancy. Since they cannot give iron shots weekly; only bi-weekly he asked how I felt about having Abigail next week. I told him I was OK with that and then they set up a date to induce. I will be admitted Thursday, May 15th, and be induced Friday, the 16th. We should be holding our little miracle sometime that day.
